   We have the lowest prices on all of our RC models as well as all of the die-cast display models than anyone else! You might just purchase a good easy to fly RC RTF to do some flying in the park or school yard. Several of the electric aircraft models that we have are very suitable for this type of RC flying. The models that have the brushless motors are very nice models and are so incredible that  you won't grow out of them. Also, they are so much easier to maintain than the gas/nitro engine rc aircraft.

Anyone that is new to RC flying or any other RC type of model, may I suggest that you go to: http://www.modelaircraft.org/ and at least obtain a free three month trial membership to learn to use the model then you'll feel more comfortable knowing that you were insured while you learned to operate your model. Once you become proficient, upgrade for a year. By having an AMA card, you are insured by the Academy of Model Aeronautics for any possible accident that may be a result of RC model malfunction or just lousy flying. Having the card is required to fly at most RC club events around the country and once we build our RC family park, you will need it to use an RC model in the park. More on that later. It is very inexpensive for a membership, so take advantage of what they offer and get your card.

• Our site offers a variety of RC aircraft models and a good selection of easy to fly RTF aircraft for the less experienced RC pilot however, this doesn't mean you'll grow out of it. Most are electric (although we have links to other RC model sites that offer gas or nitro models but for much more money).

This C-17 is a very impressive, Radio Controlled model.

      This radio-controlled C-17 model is 1/9^th scale and built in the United Kingdom.  It has about 20 flights on it.  Built as the centerpiece for a 15 program television series produced in the U.K. for the Home and Leisure satellite TV channel. 

     Three friends spent over a year to building and it is powered with 4 Jetcat P-120 turbines with a total thrust of 108 lbs. The models weighs over 250 lbs fuelled, and carries 3.3 gallons of 95% kerosene and 5% turbine oil fuel. Other details include 5 Futaba PCM receivers, 16 battery packs (93 cells), 20 Futaba servos, on board air compressor, electro/pneumatic retracts, etc.

     The four builders are shown in the lower left image above.

Colin Straus is at the nose of the air craft. Wingspan is 20 feet 8 inches, and the top of the fin is 6 feet 2 inches above the ground and Takeoff weight is 264 lbs.  The rear cargo doors open and they drop an R/C jeep on a pallet, and 2 freefall R/C parachutists.  The model also has a smoke system on both inboard engines, and uses 2.4 GHz data link to provide real-time data to a laptop computer on the ground while in flight.  This data includes airspeed, turbine RPM, EGT, fuel consumption, etc. and is covered in fiberglass and epoxy resin.  It is built mainly from balsa and ply, with many glass and carbon fiber parts for weight reduction.  The C-17 Globemaster III is one of the largest jet models in the world today! It is complete with retractable landing gear and pneumatically operated flaps.

 RC Armor                                    

The selection of RC Armor is very awesome. We've got such a great selection that includes rc tanks from some other countries and not just US armor like the M1A2 Abrams tank at the left. All of these rc tanks shoot either plastic pellets or bb shot. They may not be the right choice for the younger children because of the range on some of the tanks listed. They could start WWIII or just hurt someone else. These RC tanks, I highly recommend for the more mature person that loves to get out and practice there skills by shooting at ground tarkets. Some of these rc tanks also shoot out smoke and make sounds along with it. Very realistic sensations using these radio controlled tanks and a lot of fun practicing your skills as a tank commander.

 The competition at Woodvale conforms to the 'International Class F4C' competition rules of the Federation Aeronautique Internationals (FAI) and the British Model Flying Association (BMFA). Except that model aircraft are to any scale and do not exceed 20 Kg (44 lbs) gross weight. Both the FAI and BMFA rules provide for a two-stage process:

Stage one is known as STATIC and stage two as FLIGHT. The highest scoring flight of the two permitted each competitor will be added to the static score to determine the placing. For static judging, the competitor must present documentation of the particular example of the full-size aircraft that has been selected to be modelled. The maximum score is 1000 points but an official flight must be made for the static score to count. Flight judging also carries a maximum score of 1000 points and the competitors may execute any manoeuvre of which the prototype was capable. In addition to marking each manoeuvre, the judges look for an overall impression of realism.
